The CloudBees Core transition
CloudBees Core is the next generation of the CloudBees product suite and the successor to CloudBees Jenkins Platform and CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise.
CloudBees Core is a continuous delivery solution that provides manageability, security, best practices and supports multiple platforms, teams, and geographical locations.
CloudBees Core is provided in two packages:
CloudBees Core on traditional platforms provides flexible, governed continuous delivery, designed for on-premise deployments.
CloudBees Core on modern cloud platforms provides flexible, governed continuous delivery with the high availability and scalability of Kubernetes.
CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise v1.x will continue to be identified as CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise.
The features included in CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise v2.x are now part of CloudBees Core on modern cloud platforms.
The features included in CloudBees Jenkins Platform are now part of CloudBees Core on traditional platforms.
All CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise customers are entitled to CloudBees Core. CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise features are fully supported by CloudBees Core on modern cloud platforms.
However, CloudBees Core on traditional platforms doesn’t have all of the CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise features and functionality available in CloudBees Core on modern cloud platforms.
Software packages can be downloaded from https://go.cloudbees.com/downloads/
If you hold a license for CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise v1.x or CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise v2.x, your license will transfer to CloudBees Core on modern cloud platforms at no charge.
If you hold a license for CloudBees Jenkins Platform, you must purchase a new license for CloudBees Core on traditional platforms; contact your Customer Success Manager or sales account manager for assistance.
We understand that not all customers will be able to migrate to CloudBees Core right away.
CloudBees will continue to publish, release and maintain older products, including both CloudBees Jenkins Platform and CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise. However, some new features currently in development may only be available in CloudBees Core.
